Here at Chloe + Isabel we have what are called “capsules.” Our capsule collections are considered fashion jewelry. They are trend-driven and form a part of the seasonal launch. They are usually only available for a few months so we like to create a bit of urgency. If you like it, buy it – as it won’t be around for long!

With these pieces, you can easily mix and match between our signature jewelry and our other fashion jewelry pieces seamlessly through winter and into spring/summer!

NEW (1)

Inspired by the Italian phrase “la dolce vita,” meaning “the sweet life,” this captivating collection is right on-trend in jetblack and ivory hues, while speckled gold leaf accents add an unexpected twist. Softened geometric shapes, outlined by sparkling crystal pavé, look naturally chic in a romantic, antique gold-plated silhouette.

The collar necklace and drop earrings are convertible – see below all the fun ways these pieces can be worn!

NEW (2)

Our jewelry is nickel-free, lead safe and hypoallergenic! High-quality pieces that are made to last but if for some reason it doesn’t, we have a Lifetime Replacement Guarantee! If that isn’t enough, many of our pieces are convertible – giving you the option to wear one piece many different ways! See below just how convertible our jewelry is!

Set in antique gold plating + featuring luxe, vintage-inspired tortoise links, this convertible piece is the perfect desk-to-dinner style companion. The ultimate in versatility, we’ve counted five ways to style this one-of-a-kind necklace: layered short with all four rows, layered short with just the chains, styled solo as a chic tortoise necklace, OR go long by removing the converter piece + looping one chain over your head – with or without the tortoise necklace!

This ultra-versatile design dazzles with luxe antique gold-plated links + touches of sparkling crystal pavé. Rachelle’s Room

Somehow this was posted on my blog a couple days ago and I didn’t even realize it. It was intended to go out today. So. Here it is.

This inspo board was created on a whim for my best friend, Rachelle. She and I were roommates all throughout college so you could say that I know her style pretty well, I mean, I lived with her for 3 years. She just recently bit the bullet and moved to an apartment closer to her work in Silver Spring, MD. She mentioned to me that she was looking to decorate with neutrals and metals – so naturally, I took this opportunity to make an inspo board. She’s obsessed with Biggie Smalls – only girl I knew that wore a Biggie Smalls graphic t-shirt out to the bars. BA AF  <– (Also taught me cool acronyms like that one, Bad Ass As F*ck.) I knew the “It Was All a Dream” poster would be my inspiration for the room. From there, I just added neutral colors and lots of mixed metals.

The Lunette collection from Chloe + Isabel is probably my favorite! It’s simple and casual and super trendy. The collection features clear crystal pavé and opalescent resin. I just love the glam factor that this faux fur blue jacket adds paired with boyfriend jeans to make the look more casual. I found this opalescent clutch that goes perfectly with the Lunette collection necklace and bracelet.

Wicker Accents

01.06.2016Wicker Accents

I love all things rustic and earthy so naturally (pun intended), woven baskets and wicker decor has been my obsession lately. Adding these wicker accents, faux fur and wood for texture and playing with patterns adds a lot of dimension to a room.
It’s been a while since I’ve created an inspo board. If I’m being honest, it’s been a while since I’ve been consistent with blog posts period. Since the new year has kicked off, I would like to jump back into a routine! I have decided I will do these inspo boards (alternating between interior and fashion design) 3x a week on random days. I found that I had a lot of positive feedback with my inspo boards so I will continue to post them! Hope you enjoy! -Haley

2016 is the Year of Natural Skincare

I’m here to tell you why natural is better and why switching to natural skincare products should be at the top of your new years resolution list!

The obsession of natural skincare is becoming a trend in recent history. More and more people are buying from the natural or organic aisle and even making at-home DIY recipes in replace of their current products.

The available data and statistics out there about current skincare brands and their chemically laden products are right at consumers fingertips. People are becoming more aware of what is actually packed into their products. Marketing tactics and pretty packaging can only go so far. The real hidden truth behind all of these big brand companies is quite eye-opening.

Did you know that the average woman wears 515 chemicals A DAY?! We absorb up to 60% of what we put on our skin. (Children absorb 40-50% more than adults.) From lipstick to foundation to shampoo to hairspray, a woman is essentially covering herself in chemicals everyday. Even when you think you aren’t, you are. So you didn’t wear makeup today or do your hair? But you did just wash your face with this cleanser. Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Acrylates Copolymer, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Mannitol, Propylene Glycol, Cellulose, Met

Check out the ingredients list. This cleanser has a bunch of ingredients I can’t even pronounce and also contains parabens and micro-beads. (Micro-beads are tiny plastic beads used for exfoliating, they are harmful to the environment and unnecessary for your skincare. Use natural sugar instead.) Fragrance was added for pleasure and sodium laureth sulfate was added for no other purpose but to make the cleanser suds up. It has been found that sodium laureth sulfate is actually a skin irritant and so are non-natural fragrance additives. I’m not educated enough to tell you what the rest of these ingredients do or don’t do for your skin but I can say that they are not necessary to get your face clean. This cleanser is just one example from the face wash aisle. There are many, many more with the same flashy packaging that are filled with chemicals.

The real truth is that these skincare products are packed with chemicals that could be potentially harmful to your health and they aren’t even necessary to maintain healthy, glowing skin. Research has solid evidence that these toxic chemicals in skincare products can be the cause of a number of health concerns including:

  • Skin allergies
  • Cancer
  • Infertility
  • Birth defects
  • Reproductive problems
  • Learning disabilities

It is important that we start eliminating some of these toxic chemicals from our daily routine. Take a look at the image below. The face wash from above compared to an all-natural face wash from Lemongrass Spa. Look at the ingredients!

Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Acrylates Copolymer, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Mannitol, Propylene Glycol, Cellulose, (1).jpg

Maybe it’s just me, but I would rather be able to pronounce and recognize the ingredients I am putting on my skin!

If you’re not ready to stray from your beloved face wash, try taking smaller steps by substituting your lotion for an all-natural one or start using an all-natural lip balm instead of your drugstore brand. Little steps count! Wouldn’t you rather decrease the number of chemicals you expose yourself to from 500+ to less than 200 and maybe eventually be chemical-free?! It’s possible when you switch to an all-natural skincare line like Lemongrass Spa.

Refresh your skincare routine by adding these fresh, clean and natural products and replacing those chemically-laden products. Contact me today to learn more about making the switch! Host a spa party and earn free products! Ask me more at haleyquade@gmail.com

How to write New Year’s Resolutions and Stick To Them

If you’re anything like me, you will start out with something strong but will lose motivation or just completely forget about what your intentions were. Adulting is stressful enough as it is, so adding things to your to-do list seems almost inconceivable.

I’ve never been a fan of New Year’s resolutions. Like, why now? Does starting a new year and changing the year on the date change you suddenly? No. But in many ways it is seen as a new slate and fresh start.

I have vowed that 2016 will be MY year. I will get out of my comfort zone and reach new heights personally and professionally. I have decided on five resolutions I would like to work on throughout 2016. I will not share them here because I would like to keep them personal. To give you ideas your resolutions could range from being healthier, eating better, starting a new hobby, reconnect with old friends, spend less time on social media, save money, prioritize time, apply to college, get a certification, focus on family, learn how to cook, be more spiritual, etc. You don’t have to have five resolutions (I always prefer to bite more than I can chew) but I’ve broken down those five resolutions into even smaller steps so they are more attainable. If you have just one resolution, break that down into small steps also to be able to make progress.

In order to make these resolutions a success, I have come up with a list of ways to make them a priority year-round.

  1. Let close friends/family know your goals. It is okay to keep them private from Facebook and the general public, in fact, I strongly suggest you do that. But it is important to have some cheerleaders on your sidelines to keep you in-check.
  2. Create an inspiration board. Okay, so I’m strangely obsessed with inspo boards. I will make one for just about anything. I even make them for a big paper or project for school. I like to have a visual outline that reminds me and drives me for success. If working out is a resolution for you, making an inspo board with fit men/women will help keep you motivated. At one point in college, I even put pictures of Victoria’s Secret models in the kitchen pantry and refrigerator. Not weird.
  3. Be aware that these goals/resolutions will likely not happen overnight. Common sense will tell you that loosing 30 lbs will take time but don’t be discouraged if at three months time, you are only showing small progress. Progress is progress.
  4. Track your progress. Keep track of your progress by taking progress pics or keeping a journal.
  5. Have a calendar specifically for your resolutions. Go out to Target and purchase a cheap calendar to set goal dates and check-in times. This will help tremendously. You can’t expect to maintain a resolution by not checking in and setting goals for yourself.
  6. Use technology. No, I’m not suggesting you go out and buy a FitBit. Take advantage of free apps on your phone or online to track progress. If your goal is to lose weight, eat healthier, drink more water download FitStar Personal Trainer or Nike+ Traning Club to track fitness, MyFitnessPal to count calories, carbs and fat, PlantNanny or Waterlogged for water intake. You can also use a reminder app (one already downloaded to iPhones) to make check-in times and reminders to track progress.
  7. Check back in with initial goal. One of the best feelings is to look back at where you started. Like I said before, progress is progress, so even small amounts of improvement are better than where you were when you first started.
  8. List a positive outcome from the resolution. If you start feeling discouraged, try to think of something positive that has happened during your journey. You are trying to find a hobby for yourself and tried a painting class. You hated it but made a couple new friends in the process!

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it! I love to see other people succeed especially in a world where society is always about comparing each other and competing to be the best. Let’s make these New Year’s goals happen for ourselves once and for all! Best of luck to my readers on your journey in 2016 : )
