Everything nice

Happy Halloweenie!

I AM DYING OVER THIS FRINGE PEPLUM SWEATER. I think I might try to make it. Because 500 bones is too many bones.

This outfit would be fun for mid-morning brunch and some quick Saturday errands. I’d probably wear this with some cute Tory Burch flats, but that’s just me (because I’m a behemoth at 5’9″).

Hope you have a fun & safe Halloween! I will be posting pictures of Luke and I’s costumes – stay tuned!

Happy Friday & Halloween Eve!

I’ve been designing clothing sets like crazy lately and scheduling them in advance so I can keep up with grad school and my full-time job. Oye. Having said that, I think this is my favorite outfit that I’ve made, at least in my current batch of designs. Andddd what better day to post this but on a Friday after a long and very exhausting week!
This outfit is so feminine yet edgy at the same. damn. time. Reminds me of something the young Carrie Bradshaw would wear. I centered the whole outfit around the taupe tulle maxi skirt. I love being able to mix spring/summer pieces into the fall/winter wardrobe. I added black accessories and bow-tie strappy heels which adds to the feminine look.
Tell me you cannot imagine yourself waltzing around town in this sassy outfit?!? Like, every girl deserves to have this in her closet. I need every single piece. Now. Gimme.

La Belle Rose

Pretty in pink!

The floral pants really inspired this outfit. When I think of floral I think of spring and summer, and while this outfit could work during those times of year, I think it could go into fall as well with the soft pinks and beige tones. (Hence why I categorized it in all three seasons!)

Seriously loving the baby pink Tory Burch satchel and the trendy new lace-up flats also in a light pink. I consider light pink a neutral because like beige and nude, it can really blend well with everything – black, gray, white, tan, ivory, green, the list goes on!

Vintage Oushak Rug

Vintage Oushak Rug

Kind of obsessing over vintage oushak rugs lately. How gorgeous are the colors and details in the one above?? I decided to make that my inspiration piece for this design.

I love eclectic looks that feature both modern and traditional pieces.I also always love to add cultural/ethnic details to a design because I think it tells a story. Oushak rugs originated in Turkey during the 15th century and are still popular today due to their high-quality.

Centering rooms around an item you found while you were traveling or a piece of art you made at a pottery class is always a fun conversation starter and it really pulls a room together. I think a home should truly reflect who you are and what you’ve been through in life.

Quick tip:  Be mindful of your surroundings especially when traveling, you never know when you’ll stumble upon something great!

Blushin’

Blushin'

Currently swooning over this gorgeous Tory Burch cream fringe sweater. I’m on the hunt to find one similar since this girl can’t afford a $495 sweater… btw love how they advertised it, “Sweaters under $500!” Like, huh?

Anywho, I was definitely feeling the soft pink and beige tones of this outfit. It just looks so cozy. I have no idea what that Valentino perfume smells like but I’d buy it just because it looks pretty.

Halloween Idea: “Catwalk”

10.23.2015

Cat Costume

I can’t believe that we are almost through the month of October. As Halloween quickly approaches, I put together a simple and super easy Halloween costume. A black jumpsuit is a sassy and very versatile option for an array of costumes. With the right accessories, you can make Halloween your catwalk. Hehe get it?

I saw a girl wearing something similar to this last Halloween and have been obsessing over it ever since. The little wire cat ears are so adorable and adding a cheetah clutch does just enough without over-doing it.

I personally don’t like to put paint or any outrageous makeup on my face as my skin is so sensitive but I thought the girl in the right-hand corner looked pretty awesome. For me, I would just stick to lashes, winged liner, a plum lip and maybe a cute black button nose.

What are you going to be for Halloween? I’d love to hear your ideas!
