Swoon Over Reese Witherspoon

In the last two days, I’ve seen two featured articles of the Legally Blonde actress talking about the launch of her new Southern-inspired clothing, accessories and home goods line, “Draper James.” The name comes from her grandparents, Dorothea Draper and William James Witherspoon. Reese pays homage to her Southern roots with a SoCal twist. You’ll find classic prints like gingham and stripes, and feminine dresses in lace and bright florals, as well as cardigans and branded t-shirts.

The obsession is real, y’all – take a look below to see some of my favorites from her collection!

The clothing ranges from casual chic to dressier attire (think Derby Day-appropriate).

Reese and her team did a wonderful job designing the of-the-moment style that pairs two matching separates. I love that the top and bottom are interchangeable and can be styled from casual to dressy by alternating accessories.

Accessories range from pearl necklaces to leather handbags and, of course, a monogrammed iPhone case.

But Witherspoon’s new line is hardly a cheap celebrity collaboration. Prices are definitely high-end – the sterling silver Magnolia Bowl costs $400, a pair of stud earrings cost $100, and dresses start at $225.

See below how Reese incorporates her new ready-to-wear line into her street style!

5 Interior Design Trends To Try This Fall

When I think of fall, I think of warm earth tones, the outdoors, textures and soothing palettes. Playing with your interior space doesn’t mean you have to spend a ton of money. Look for ways to accessorize by adding a cool lamp, decorative pillows or new lighting. You don’t have to repaint a room or buy new furniture to spruce up your space. I’d like to share with you some trends that seem to be going strong, and are fairly easy to achieve for fall. Take a look:

Beauty Buys

“My name is Haley and I’m addicted to beauty products.”

“Hiiii Haley.”

If you know anything about me at all it’s that I’m an absolute freak over beauty products. I should honestly have a YouTube channel dedicated to Ulta hauls, Target hauls, Sephora hauls, etc. You get the point.

I don’t know why it took me so long to come up with this series because I test and try new products all of the time for fun and actually enjoy writing reviews based upon the results. I could honestly spend hours writing reviews on websites patronizing or boycotting products. So instead of continuing that, I will bring my product reviews to this new series, “Beauty Buys.”

Below I will share with you a few of my recent purchases.

I was in the market for a new foundation. I had been using a blemish technology foundation by Almay which I still love but it was super heavy on my skin. I wanted something light for everyday wear during the intense summer heat.

Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer // $43 – Unfortunately, I wasn’t super thrilled with this product. I have a slightly oily complexion by the end of my 14 hour day and this stuff just added to that. It looked as if it were melting off of my face. I was disappointed because I bought the product based solely off of the awesome reviews and upon research, it worked well for others with oily skin. No way. Not for me.

Cover FX BB Gel Mattifying Anti-Blemish Treatment // $45 – I ended up going back to Sephora and got this because a friend suggested it. LOVE this triple-threat foundation. Perfect for summer because it goes on super light but still gives me a nice matte complexion throughout the day. I tend to breakout from time to time so it’s great that this has 1% Salicylic acid in it which is the highest percent I’ve seen in a foundation so far. I think it’s helping to keep the breakouts at bay.

Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara // $24 – Ehh. Don’t hate it, don’t love it. It’s just okay. I will always go back to my favorite L’ORéal Telescopic Mascara for a whopping $9.99.

National Dog Day

Happy Wednesday! Also, Happy National Dog Day to you and your furry companion! This will be the first time I celebrate National Dog Day with my very own pup – my chocolate Labradoodle, Moose.

This dog has changed my life tremendously in just the few short months I’ve had him. Unlike people, he’s not judgmental. He doesn’t care what his hair looks like or what mine looks like for that matter. He runs up to me in complete candor every single evening I get home from work. He shows his love and affection always and if you give him food, he’ll love you doubly as much (a man after my own heart!). He has shown me what it’s like to have a big responsibility and in return has helped me to be a better caretaker and a more selfless being.

We humans could learn a lot from dogs. The respect, forgiveness and pure love that a dog shows no matter what the circumstance is very humbling. This world would be a lot less cute and loving without dogs, so here’s to you, furry ones! Happy National Dog Day!

5 ways to rock the shirt dress trend this fall

Still swooning over the shirt dress trend? Here are some ways to continue the look into the fall.

What is there not to love about the shirt dress trend?! It’s comfortable, stylish and an easy, all-in-one ensemble. I’ve been loving this trend all summer – a cute t-shirt dress, comfy sandals, a statement necklace and out-the-door I go!

The shirt dress style is still in full swing going into the fall season! Below are a few different ways to wear a shirt dress as the temperatures start dropping.

  1. Denim shirt dress for a casual weekend look.

Tip for cooler weather: add a scarf and fringe booties to complete the look.

2. Sharp point collar shirt dress perfect for an office setting.

Tip for cooler temperatures: layering. Add a fur vest or bomber jacket over the dress.

3. Maxi shirt dress for a formal affair. How stunning is this??

4. Tailored fit & flare button up shirt dress. A very polished, upper East Side office look.

5. “Piko” shirt dress for a casual look.

You could ditch the hat and vest and wear a scarf, knee highs and boots instead.

Everything you need to know about Olivia Palermo’s new makeup line

I was researching fall 2015 fashion trends on Pinterest this morning and Olivia’s pictures were popping up everywhere, obviously. She has been taking the fashion world by storm for the past few years and is constantly admired for her ability to maintain a perpetuous and trendy style season after season. What I love most about Olivia is the way her natural beauty still radiates in the midst of her chic style. Her iconic middle-part “lob,” red lips, and red nails create a crisp, clean palette for her stylish outfits. She is probably one of today’s most idolized women in fashion and has been featured several times in fashion magazines and publications questioning her secret to great style.

After seeing so many ‘Olivia’ posts on Pinterest, I Googled her name to find her website/blog. I found out that she is working as the Guest Creative Director at Ciaté London and just announced her new makeup range featuring an 11-piece makeup collection. Check out some of the new products below.

What I’m most excited about?  The blush/bronzer duo that promises Palermo-worthy contouring! Now I can look like her – next task, affording her awesome wardrobe!
